The redfish bite continue to be strong. Temps are still hot so getting out early and catching that early bite is key. Finding redfish in the marsh using live shrimp under shallow popping cork has produced the most action. On those calm early mornings we have gotten some really nice reds working a gold spoon through the shallows. After the sun gets up and the temps rise moving to deeper water channels with a decent tide flow continued to produce reds under popping cork and Carolina rig off the bottom. The trout bite is starting to pick back up but still having to weed through a lot of 12" to 12 3/4" trout to put together a box of keeper trout. Flounder have been biting pretty good also on popping cork in shallow ponds and points. We expect the trout bite to start picking back up inshore soon as the summer heat starts to subside.
