Finally getting some cooler weather in southeast Louisiana. The redfish are going nuts and the fishing is on point. Catching a mix of redfish, speckled trout, flounder, black drum, and sheepshead pretty consistently. Although we have been dealing with a lot of high winds, it hasn't stop the fish from biting. We have been catching trout early in deep channels and points working live shrimp on a 3' leader under popping cork along with working Matrix Shad and Marker 54 plastics off the bottom. As the temps warm up a little in the morning, we have been finding big schools of redfish in shallow pond and mud flats. Both morning and afternoon trips have been producing great catches throughout October. The fishing has been pretty much non-stop action from the first cast on. Come get down to Shell Beach while the weather is nice and the fish are evening nicer!
